There has been a debate lately on the merits of money. I want to put in my 2 cents worth.
First of all, anyone who says they don't appreciate money is lying. We all do. It pays for our housing, our food, our standard of living, whatever that may be. We ALL appreciate it. No one is denying that.
And don't get me wrong: I, along with the next woman (or man?) appreciate the night out where our date pays for the meal, the drinks, the cab ride home. It's a treat, a bonus to the night. Read me here: a TREAT.
Not an expected ending.
I personally have been dirt poor, living on next to nothing. The promise of a night out was heaven. I was so excited when someone offered to pay the bill.
But not at the cost of my soul.
Today, I allow the man to pay if he really wants to, but make sure to offer my share, even though it may mean that I am broke for the rest of the month. I do not have a lot of disposable income, but feel that paying my share is only fair.
I, along with many others, I think, believe that money is a good thing only when used appropriately. That is, to enhance a life that is already good, not to impress others.
I have been around too many people who think that they are gods because they earn over XXX amount of money. Truly, it does not impress me. I prefer the content of their character rather than the price tag on their soul.
Is this a fitting blog for this site? I believe so, as it describes the interest of many here....we are not looking to "hook up with a rich man" but rather look to someone who speaks to our soul. At least, I do.

I agree with the sentiments expressed so far, I would consider myself very well off but money poor and being blessed with the good sense to know it.Those that worship money value everything in that currency including relationships. But as with everything in life there are two sides. If I were a rich old man with no one to leave it to and a beautiful young woman paid some interest in me then who knows lol. There really is no fool like an old fool! Incidently, I know a very good Irish song about this subject and if I'm ever lucky enough to met you I will sing it for you, it is hilarious!img src="imagesadultemoticons007.gif" Its called an aul man came courting me!.... me being young |

I used to earn quite a lot, now I dont earn anything like as much. But I have a little "fun" account that I pop cash into whenever I can to fund my hobby here. It seems to me that if there are adventures to be had then they might as well be in nice places.
