Yield Ahead to Follow the Traffic

It takes strength of purpose and commitment to yield to a dominant person. It takes strength of personality and responsibility to be a dominant person. Many people are "followers", few are "leaders." The sexuality/personality of submissives drives them to be "under the control" of someone or the perception of someone who deserves their respect, their admiration, their "yielding" to what they see as stronger, wiser, more authoritarian person than their own "selves". This is not psychobabble but rather the manner they understand "things" ought to be. They give over their own pleasures to the control of another. They simply don't want to control themselves. That said, they are unhappy if neglected, ignored, not permitted to yield to the domination of another whom they respect and believe possesses knowledge, ability, skills, experience and most of all "understanding" of the dynamics of human relationships. They are like someone who is able drive but needs traffic and travel guidance...signposts which they need to obey for their own safety and that of others. A "captain of their spirit" so to speak. The Dominant leads and they obey and follow for their own pleasure by serving the pleasures of that "other". At the signpost up ahead, does it say "Yield" and do you follow the rule?
