Last meet of the year. 2

8:52 am Monday, 22nd December, 2008

So, as I promised, I'll start at the beginning. It's 1984 and I'm a teenager on holiday in the NorthWest. There's this good looking boy who works in a shop nearby and I spend the week flirting with him, and he with me. It's all quite innocent until the day I am due to leave, when we sneak away to spend some time together on the sand dunes. There was a lot of kissing and petting going on, but not much else. We nearly got caught a couple of times by people using the beach gate to return to their holiday camp, and eventually it was time for me to go home, and for him to return to work. We wrote for a while, and the following year we met up again, with more of the same, as I recall. And then that was that. Like all teenage 'romances' it fizzled out and I hardly thought anymore about him in the intervening years.

That was 24 years ago, the holiday camp is long since gone, and over the summer, I found a website for former guests and staff. Through it, I found out what the boy was doing now, and decided to drop him a line, not reallly expecting a response.

Normally, I give my partners initals at least, but because of this person's public job, I will still refer to him as 'The Boy' although he's 40-odd now.

Check back for the rest of the final story in my blog!
