When you first talk to a prospective Dom face to face, it’s easy to be overwhelmed with mixed and complicated feelings. You want to appear calm and collected but usually the confidence you have at home or online will disappear when you meet. It’s natural and to be expected. Nervousness is not a turn off by any means. It’s important to just be yourself.
The first meeting should simply be a relaxed chat about what you want to do, to be and to experience. It does not have to be a meeting for sex. In fact, this first meeting is vital to establishing an understanding of each other’s perceptions. By the way, a face to face meeting is much more intense than an online meeting.
You should use this time to talk about what you understand Submission to be. Listen to what your Dom says his understanding of Submission is. Ideally you both want the same thing. Is the Dom compatible with you and is there any compromise to be made for each of you?
Here is something to think about. If you are shy talking about sexual acts, I suggest you practice at home, saying the things you like out loud. Use the language that excites you, not vanilla terms. Believe me, the more you say things out loud the easier it is to be verbal about your desires. Your Dom cannot read minds and it’s up to you to say what you want.
Finally, don’t be pressured into doing anything you are not comfortable with, especially at the first meeting. You don’t have to commit on the spot, it is much better to think it over and meet again to discuss how you feel about each other and commit then.
The relationship you are about to enter into is both dynamic and fluid. Things you want to happen and the things you are required to do may not always be the same, but the level to which you submit is always entirely up to you.
Submission is a process of evolving into the eager, responsive submissive you yearn to be.Enjoy!
