One of the biggest dilemmas that I have had so far is what to say when you first respond to a profile. Your response pretty much sets the tone and how your seen, which can either make or break your chances of a meeting. So, what do you say? I personally always liked messages that had a lot to say; what they liked about my profile, why they would like to meet me, their likes and dislikes. Just a little more about who they are. But I realize that can be too much. People don’t want to read a novel. Just a glimpse as to who you are and why they should consider taking a chance on you. On the other side, how little is too little. I have received the “Hi, how are you?” and thought, can you at least give some effort. But maybe that’s all you need. Your profile should do all the heavy lifting and will give them everything they need to know about you. I believe it’s not just the words, but the pictures you include in your profile that attract the positive responses. We’re very visual creatures and if we like what we see, we’ll put in the effort. I guess I need to start adding some more photos. Maybe you guys can give me some suggestions?
