Banned words and alternatives that could be used in their place

Hey everyone,

In this article we will be listing some of the words we cannot allow through on anywhere within the site. There’s a multitude of reasons why we can’t allow some of them through, some of them breach on laws and some of them could possibly insult people. We don’t want any of that, we want the best experience on here for absolutely everyone who chooses to join up!

You may find that an item/s you have attempted to publish has been either failed or edited by the moderation team, it’s possible that you could have attempted to use one of the words listed below.

Some banned words can be changed to alternatives, so those that can do so are listed below with their substitute next to them. Check your comments, posts, status’, profiles or whatever you may be putting up for these words and should you have included a banned word which has an alternative, please instead use the latter. Should this word have no alternative however, please refrain from using it to avoid disappointment of your item not being passed by the mod team.

Banned words which have no alternative replacements

• Any word which is a racial reference of a derogatory nature


• Any reference to other sites, social media, search engines


• Any reference to children and teenagers


• Any word which may otherwise be allowed through but has been used within an inflammatory context toward other members e.g. ‘bitch’, ‘dick’ etc.
