Road Trips, How is it a thing?

I'm so confused. I thought it was some major thing that happens all the time but I'm just not seeing it.

Recently I've taken to road tripping to visit a friend on my days off. I've always thought that the stops along the way were full of people who want to do things. I just don't see how that works though lol. Like who's your clients? Do they just randomly ask random people to bone?

Honestly asking because I just want to be service someone at one of these stops but idk what the protocol is lol.

One of those moments, I'm just curious.

Something like, Hi you from around here or just passing through like me? Just asking because I am trying to decide if I should push on or rest up here. If they are from the area, ask if they know of any cool places close by where you unwind a little. If not from area, maybe say, "oh so like me your stuck in a boring rest stop with no way to relax except sitting in your car." Be open to whatever response you get but at the same time think safety!
