I used to feel proud for not being a boy who runs behind hot girls and women. I thought I was different. That I respect women. Only to know how fragile my beliefs were. That I was no different and on getting a sniff, would turn into a wild animal.
Sex and it's exploration is a taboo subject in India. There were cults which supported free expression of attraction and sex. Many magazines advise us to freely have sex and masturbate to remain healthy. On the other hand, to remain loyal, disciplined and have self-control is propogated. Both are required for a good life. Too much control and the people will turn wild when left to their own. Too much freedom and there will be no order at all. But when it comes to respect of the fairer-sex; my concerns arise. The respect part goes for a toss when it comes to free sex. Domination, BDSM are the examples. Peek into any porn chat or website and you will find male domination. I feel there is an inherent male domination when it comes to sexual world and this seeps into the ordered world where we live.When the talk is about self-control and discipline, again the female sexuality is more checked and controlled. Female behaviour is judged on the basis of her clothes, movement in and out if her house.So, when I slipped into the world of casual sex and experiences, my pride of respecting women started to fall. I started looking at them like an objects. I felt a supreme urge to stop and guilt started building up.But the moment I felt aroused my principles took a hit.I conclude that there is an inherent sense of male domination programed in our genes. However, the efforts of respecting women are right and must be taken for balancing this inherent trait.
