The Most Basic Level of Connectivity

8:59 pm Saturday, 6th April, 2019

I thought I might share an insight on the level of connectivity when I play or engage, in case anyone might be interested or relate.

Before any activity, after negotiating and setting up, it's vital that I strip away my identity so that we can be just two or more people "just being," with each other. I take  any personal identifiers off my person: my keys, nametag, wallet, jar of lip balm, and cell phone. This strips me down to "just a person." After this I take a step back, breathe, and "jump into a space" where there are no names, rather, beings. When in this space my awareness of my fellow players and external distractions are mostly muted and unseen. It's a very basic and special being where connectivity is based on movements, sounds, whimpers, visuals, and feelings. It's a joyous and special place.
