To cheat or not cheat that is the question

Well the society expects you stay virgin till you get married. Stick to that one person. If you are not married then stay a virgin. Sex is a taboo though a basic need.
If you are breaking this mould you could be cheating . The question how to balance your own needs with that of the society's expectations.
The bottom line for me is consensual and avoid hurt. what do you think
