What being Dominant means to me.
I am a twenty-first-century renaissance man. I have many talents and skills that I have acquired and honed over my lifetime. But there is one passion that brings them all together and ultimately defines who I am.
I am a Dominant man.
Just being able to type that sentence is the result of a journey that has taken me decades to define. Initially, I didn't understand this side of me. The labels Dominant and Submissive didn't exist when I was a young man. The 70's were a time of exploration for some, but my interests in suburbia were just as much Taboo as any person interested in same sex relationships.
I realized I was different rather early, and it started innocent enough. At the ripe age of eight I was tying up a dear girl in my neighborhood on my parent's carport. There was a thrill in doing it, that I couldn't define. Years later this lovely girl was hit by a car and nearly killed. My parents had moved out of the area, but I manage to correspond with her while she was in the hospital. She was the one who brought it up, teasing me about doing it, and I could see her smiling at me in my minds eye. For her, like me it was a pleasurable memory, but even being in our late teens by this time neither of us understood why.
