Is internet dating a skill?

If I can't taste it, touch it or see it, for me, it is not real. Is this why I'm rubbish at internet dating? 

I know I'm good looking, passionate, fun, intelligent and adventurous. Yet people from this site write to me once and once i respond, I never hear back... Unless they're **ammers! And I've been led a few merry dances. Why is it that the only people genuinely interested in me are interested in my credit card only!

Clearly, although it may not seem like it, writing texts, letters and messages online are all 'auditory' activities. I'm visual and kinaesthetic, not auditory. If I can't see you and feel you, you are not real.

So please can someone give me a clue. What am I doing wrong? today three sexy couples asked me please to get back, which I did. And then.... the silence is deafening!

Am I being too nice... too passionate and excited... too forward... too willing to please.

Please someone give me some guidance.
