The world has changed today and is evolving rapidly. The importance of money in life is undeniable. Globalization along with development has brought in a lot of Westernization into our country. Then why are Indian girls not still open to being asked out by men. Why do many still fear the surrounding environment and resort to online or virtual forums to date.
I mean whats the big deal in asking a girl out within a group. I have tried a couple of times and mostly failed in my country. Although I did succeed once. But most of the time I felt I was denied an opportunity to date because of peer pressure.
Girls in India need to stand for their own desires and at the same time there are those who stand up to the extent of demanding money to meet. Well theres no harm in paying for the bills or buying occassional gifts, but if you so desire some self respect, demanding money upfront for sexual favours is grossly a turn off. You may say you are not a prostitute but its almost the same. Its just shows that you take sex as an business activity and are not mature enough or selfish to not give in to the other person.
Somehow I think sex is a natural activity, our own culutre produced one of the most knowledgable and popular literatures on sex 'The Kamasutra' and instead of protecting and respecting it, we have managed to sell it off to the Western World.
On the contrary we should have made a museum containing detailed description of the content of the book in our country. I still hope we do it someday.
