Everybody, including me, is predisposed to think that life is so short to worry about so we better make the most out of it, that being tied up with someone is more of a burden than an advantage. I can only laugh at myself every time I am tempted to say this is so. When matters get serious, we need commitment, whether it is about climate change or some stupid president that threatens our very existence either as a nation or as mankind. Commitment is the antidote to crises. Guess what? How do we learn what commitment is all about? It, most of the time if not all the time, begins with being committed to someone. Capisce?
