Found a great shop in Basildon, can't remember the correct name of it. It's in the main town square opposite the glass cafe bar. They stock up to size 9 in the ladies section, and they have some very glam styles. Cheap too, average price is about £20 but they have a sale on at the moment.
The best part about it all is that they are straight off the shelf, not tucked away in some special corner. It's easy to go a buy your 'wife' a pair and not feel uncomfortable about it.
Hopefully this will be a trend that all shoe makers take on. I love heels and it will be so good to walk into a shop, see the shoe and buy them. You never really know what you are going to get when you have to rely on online retailers...Happy Day!
