Help at a technical level

Hi anybody
I wish to use a peripheral webcam instead of the one integrated into my laptop. (I look far too intelligent when you just see my face typing and correcting typing errors all the time lol).
Does anyone here know how I can override the video display on this site. I guess it is more of a specific issue with my laptop settings, but cannot see this in what I woudl call the obvious locations.
Don't be shy, any suggestion is worth a follow up.
