Self Bondage pros and cons

I wonder how many folks both Men and Women practice Self Bondage .
I know it has it's risks , but sometimes I quite enjoy it !
I also like pushing the boundaries ( bad me ;) .
I'd love to hear from folks who have tried it , or from those who would like to try it :)
