SiteAdminClaire

All advisors have now been given access to our beta site which hosts the newest improvements and updates. We have asked our advisors to test out the improvements we have made to the site, focusing on mail messaging and settings.
We have implemented several new features to give you improved quality and control over messaging which can be accessed in our new streamlined settings area. Please tell us about your experience using the beta site by clicking 'leave feedback' on the top menu whilst logged in or you can also find the link when logging in or out of the beta site.
Alternatively you can drop a message here and discuss your experience with other advisors!

Thanks :)

My login to the beta site failed twice. Maybe its a bug that needs fixing before it goes live?

Hey Advisors, we've closed the beta to do more updates. We're looking at your feedback on https:www.surveymonkey.co.ukrQWX2T6R . We will reopen it again soon the get feedback on some cool new Blogging features you've asked for.

Sass, I wish we could! People have to go into their profile settings and change it from the default to stop sending messages they don't know about. It's one of the main reasons I'm rarely on here because I can't be bothered to trawl through the auto-generated messages. It's up to the site to change the default back to how it used to be and so far, they don't seem to want to.

Oh dear

I do not wish to be negative but I see a lot of tweaking (the circular photos by the way) with little by way of improvement. I seriously like the option of dispensing with the automated messages - but come on folks that should never have happened in the first place. It just makes the site look tacky and one very quickly gets tired (tired enough to choose other sites first for instance)

Why not just have a site where folks can contact other folks and they can reply?

I understand the commercial imperative, but come on, other sites manage it. I used to rate this site well above anything else because of the quality of the chat, the great subjects in the blogs, a decent verification system and a user friendly nature of the software. Now I do not rate it anything like as highly.

Sorry folks, there is a long way to go before it improves, and as a word to the wise, the direction to go is backwards (to where things were about 18 months to 2 years ago...)

Gosh.. Gosh n golly gosh.. Vip or not.. Escort or not.. When has having fun uncomplicated safe sex become so bloody difficult??? Sod going back 18 months more like years.. Bring back the slow last dance in the night clubs days back.. Please.. Least that way the spam n scams are avoided. But new era so have fun be safe xx

That's hilarious missloveit.. made me chuckle. Ode to be back in former times eh. I'll have a slow dance at the end of the night with you, but only if you agree to a fondle in the back seats at the cinema on the next date. God it seems like an age ago, when did it get so complicated?

Hi all, just picking up on some of the comments made. Introduction messages - the new settings area gives all members control of promotional messages. So if you don't want to send them OR receive them then you can easily control. These settings will be available to all once the beta site is complete and ready to launch.  Thread order - we have adapted this so users can select which way they want to view the order of posts, since everyone has a different preference! Advisors will be able to test this change along with other updates to the blogging area in the next round of beta access. Please note that we are listening and the new site will reflect many of the changes you have been requesting, thanks for your patience.

Hi @Kinkathlete, by flirt messages I'm guessing you are talking about introduction messages? All members (paid or unpaid) can identify these messages as an introduction message by the symbol shown in the mailbox legend to the right of the mail box on desktop so we really don't intend to trick anyone. At the moment all members have the ability to turn off sending these messages and as I mentioned previously the new settings will give all users control of both sending and receiving these messages. There is also a cool new feature for VIP's which splits out your promotional mail into a separate folder. Just incase you missed the update here is some of the other updates in messaging which are coming soon: Promotional message control available for all members;VIPs can allow receipt of unsolicited messages; ‘VIP Inbox’ feature to filter out Promotional Messages; Pre-approved Introduction messages that you can select; Removed search penalty on members with ‘No Promotion’ settings; VIP cut and paste detector to spot spammy messages; No daily restrictions on members replies to VIPs...Hope you like what you hear 🙂

Hi @kinkathlete, I'm afraid we don't share the same cynical view on this one. We are trying to listen to every member and provide individual choices where possible. We have already acted on the messaging feedback and gave advisors a demo of this of the beta site. Blogging updates will be available next week for advisors to trial. Thanks

Please get rid of the thousands of bots here. 1 in 30 mails I receive are actually people the rest machines...
I won't be using this site ever again - complete waste of time and I feel that I have been deceived

Hi all, I would just like to address the last few comments here. We have been collecting feedback from over 900 site advisors as part of the ongoing advisor programme which has been running since July. There is a lot of difference in opinion when it comes to feedback so we can't always provide changes to suit individual choices, instead we have created a simple settings area where members can take control of their own account preferences. I just want to clarify that we don't use 'bots' as suggested and we have a support team who are dedicated to removing any fakespam profiles. Our team has been working hard on site improvements over the last year and we know of no other advisor programmes with such a large community. The improvements are not just purely cosmetic, please look out for an email today which will give you access to a detailed new feature page. We really try to listen to individual preferences and I think this is reflected in the new site updates. Thanks all 🙂
