THE POWER OF THE FIRST CHATMESSAGE

I have four weeks before my trip to the UK. Unfortunately, I had a silly accident and my ankle fractured and now I am spending more time chatting to people that I have ever done before.

Now, this has brought some consequences. I almost feel compelled to chat to many people in the hope someone will just surprise me and I will have a big grin on my face for the day. Indeed, I have been surprised by many, scared by others, charmed, annoyed and I have been going on an interesting roller coaster these days.

I have been also getting messages from different people which exactly the same effect as the chats.

Therefore, what is this blog about? I have been fretting about how powerful you think is that first chat you have with a person? What are the variables that you consider to keep the chat going for a long time? Can you think of something that they write that immediately makes u want to suddenly have no Internet? LOL

OK maybe u r not a chat person, but you check you messages. What are the messages that grab your attention? Which ones would you reply?

This is me. I enjoy chats when men are just themselves. There is also something extremely powerful and compelling about someone just trying to get to know you more than just your favourite sex position (probably just me?)

In relation to messages, well I am copying and pasting the messages that have just made me laugh or get confused. You can be the judge and feel free to share your favs.

	10:08 am Sunday, 31^st May, 2015 Macavity68 I suppose some blokes consider themselves skilled communicators because they can chat endlessly, but if you ask me, the ability to chat is only one part of the process and I don't think it's the most important part. I think the best communication happens when there's an equal exchange between two people with no one person hogging the conversation or message exchange. Your first message or chat could lead you to discover that someone special, or maybe not. Either way, it's exciting to be able to get to know another person and I think great communication starts with being genuinely interested in the person and paying attention to what they say. Genuine interest goes a long way and I think you should listen as much as you talk. That being said, I don't go in for heavy romantic stuff or cheesy chat up lines either.

	5:34 am Tuesday, 2^nd June, 2015 Fetch1 I can quite see how some inane, opening, one-liners can be irritating and off-putting. Unfortunately, some do not have the power of the written word or the perception to see what might stimulate some interest from a lady. I tend to go off on one of my flights of fancy or surreal journeys and I know I have struck a chord if my correspondent follows me. We can then go " off the wall " together. Seriously, I enjoy using language but there is no standard formula so just express yourself in lucid, polite and respectful manner and if you use a little perception, you may find common ground to develop your contact. On the other hand ,I only have to say the word " Ferrari " to one particular lady and she is mine !!!
