I recently turned 31, it was no where near as tramatic as turning 30, but with apologies to my friends who organised the giant, themed 30th birthday boozefest 31 sends 30 to the pile of merely 'nice' memories.
My partner and I had been talking about going to a club for quite a while, but as innocent young things (although neither of us sexually inexperienced, prude or adverse to pushing boundaries) we were not so keen to go on our own (very probably the ingrained teenage fear of going to the dance, but having no one want to dance with you). I decided that we were going to suck it up
The day commenced with slutty shoe shopping, sadly unsuccessful, but you can't have everything. We then moved on to toy shopping, there is sn excellent independent shop in Norwich, the owner gives great advice, knows his stuff, and makes for an excellent shopping experience. We came away with a massager (bonus points for supporting locally owned small business and UK manufacturing), amazingly fun toy.
Then the evening commenced... A quick drive to St Noets and then knock on the door of the hotel room across the hall, anticipation, nerves....
And then they open the door, a lovely pair of swinging virgins, poised and looking elegant and off we go to dinner. I'm fairly sure everyone else in the restaurant knew what we were talking about, that's an amazingly liberating feeling...
And the after dinner events... They will be detailed next time, you dear reader need an approperiate interlude to raise your anticipation level...
