Exploring naturism as a single male....

I remain positive in almost everything I do or don't do! But could do with some advice...

I plucked up enough courage to attend a naturist club of the adult only kind this summer. I have to say I was as much excited as I was panic stricken, probably resembling a bunny in headlights. Whilst the freedom of being naked and the friendly glances made me feel better, I find the introductions and 'hi im new to this' very tricky. This particular venue has parties on the weekends in the evening of which I really wanted to attend but just could not pluck up enough bottle to go alone. The two lovely ladies I have asked over the last 2 years (summers) have declined, not being their scene'. I'm cool with that of course, but wondered if anyone knows how a keen nervous guy can get into this kind of community without feeling like a loner' or worse!! Any good forums or genuine community social places to chat and feel im not 'out of my depth'...I guess a metaphorical holding of the hand. Any advice greatly received.

Must admit I've always been drawn to the possibilities of naturism, but only in mild climates :-) You have my admiration for trying it as a single male.

I think that it can be a little daunting for any single guy jumping into any kind of clique - not just naturism. I once attended a sex club in Tokyo at the invitation of a couple I knew, and found it a strange experience. I felt like a spare prick at a wedding, and various other single guys were sort of "lingering hopefully" in the corner and looking at people with cow eyes :-) Everyone seemed to know each other, and although they weren't in the least off-putting, I felt almost as if I'd wandered into some sleazy private jamboree in someone's living room.

True, I admit that if nothing is ventured then nothing is gained, but it can be very hit and miss. That's about all the "advice" I feel qualified to offer :-)
