We all know that anticipation heightens enjoyment, but can you nail why?

Anticipation = fantasizing (I suppose). We all fantasize to a certain degree, and that gets the juices flowing. If the object of your fantasy finally "delivers", then the dam bursts. Seems pretty obvious to me. |

Yeah, but it's that moment when expectation meets anticipation ... |

Not sure that anticipation is fantasising, but that may be down to the individual. I enjoy the unknown of anticipation - the ifs and hows - more with Luv2 and the torment, that's the fun bit!! As for 'pretty obvious'. ones own take on something is always 'obvious', but others opinions are often more interesting!! |

Problem is, I'm not very good with it; I'm impatient and don't enjoy waiting. |

You are so right Sassy! Experience adds to the anticipation, for good or ill. Thinking something Bad well happen releases adrenaline (fearflight); something good, endorphins. Eeach time something unexpected, but good, happens increases the anticipation and when fulfilled, the pleasure. Touch of Pavlov's dog. |

Hadn't considered teasing by text or email, can see why that might be a bit of a waste, not really the kind of anticipation I was thinking about. But hey, that's what makes the question worth asking! |

Anybody who teases MsGN will incur the wrath of the Yakuza and the Chinese Tongs :-) All I have to do is tip the nod to my extensive contacts. |
