The bet was simple. I would enter the cinema first. Sit near the front with access to the aisle. The new woody Allen movie had been playing for a few weeks and this was mid afternoon mid town Manhattan. She would follow 10 - 15 minutes later after throwing down two cosmo’s on the rocks.
