Either way, follow these guidelines.
Acquire man-sized cuts more than one inch thick.
Look for a marble hard cut of meat if you’re going for instant gratification ala MacDonald’s Beefcake Burger in the drive thru.
Try to get cuts of even thickness.
Thick round cuts need to be marinated longer.
Ribs and loin are more suited to the eye-candy appetisers.
Tight Buns are a good garnish to your appetisers
Some cuts are tender, succulent and melt in your mouth.
Add excitement to your delectable dish by requesting some Tongue, I recommend the Cunning brand.
Weather you dine out, take-away or consume your hunk at home you will be asked “How do you want it” you have several mouth watering and toe curling options dependant on your needs and taste.
Very rare: Hot on the outside, raw on the inside and the meat will be sort of wobbly. Final timing should be 100 min.
Rare: Red, cool to warm centre and the meat will be soft and spongy. Final timing should be 120 min.
Medium rare: Red, warm centre and the meat will have a springy firmness. Final timing should be 126 min.
Medium: Hot, pink centre and the meat will have a less springy firmness than medium rare. Final timing should be 135 min
Medium well: Slight colour, cooked throughout and the meat will feel firm. Final timing should be 145 min.
Well done: The meat is gray-brown throughout and very firm and unyielding. Final timing should be 160 min.
Gratification
It can take some practice when learning to extract maximum gratification from your hunk, but it is worth it. Here are some steps to get you started.
Get your hunk to let you reach room temperature before attempting any gratification.
Ensure that your Hunk is trimmed. Some prefer the strips about ¼-inch others like the strip of 1½-inch then there are those who only like smooth Hunk. Demand it!
Enjoy your Hunk with a drink, however too much may impair the performance of the product and your enjoyment.
Preheat the mood to as hot as you can get it then reduce the heat to the proper setting for extended basting and enhanced gratification.
