So I used to have a "normal" profile, one that you'd expect to see on here. And then I realized that while I wasn't being dishonest, I was being unrealistic. So I took a step back and rewrote this because (1) I believe honestly up front is the very best policy, and (2) it better reflects where I am at today....
First, I am a single father who is LOVING my life and there are even greater things ahead for us! My kids are young, and while they are a huge part of my life, and are my focus, they are not going to be involved in my dating relationships anytime soon. :)
But they do define a lot of my character and personality. I am young at heart, and have unending energy, and enjoy being likeminded people, yet at the same time, can also enjoy a nice moment just embracing my kids by the fireplace on a winter night, while drinking chocolate.
What I am looking for is ONE person who is at the same place I am. I am looking for someone who is looking for the right person for the long term, yet can understand that I am looking to take things slow. I am a single father so I have very limited time to "date" each week, or even just to hang out. My kids and work consume a lot of time and they are my top priorities. I am looking for someone who can enjoy the tender moments of being together, and suck all the marrow out of the time we do share, and understand that we'll be together one or two days a week. And that is all I can commit to at this point. But that will change, and between the kids becoming older, and us taking our time to grow closer together, our time together will increase. I don't want to introduce my kids to anyone right away, so please understand where I am coming from. :)
I do want to find that one person to last forever, but need someone to can not only understand but appreciate what it means to be a single parent.
And at the same time, while I don't want to give the wrong impression of myself, but rather prefer raw honestly, yes, I am looking for a relationship with amazing intimacy. Not just sex, not something casual or fwb, or any nonsense like that, but rather someone where we can grow our intimacy outside of the bedroom as well as inside the bedroom. Someone who understands the difference between lovemaking and simply sex. We all know we both have some needs that we can fill, so lets be honest with it. Sorry if that is too blunt, but I'd rather people just say what they want instead of pretending to care and then lying about it.
Does that make sense? Does anyone relate with me on this one? Seriously people, I'm looking for a relationship that is ready for the long haul but one that can fit into a busy schedule.
