Hehe - I hate writing these things. Apart from anything else, I reckon it's a bit of a stretch to expect anyone to be objective when summarizing themselves, especially when they're hoping to get a date out of it. Caveat lector! And now, in an attempt to differentiate myself from most of the other profiles which seem to present themselves as just a piece of meat, here're some random snippets about me. :-)
I think the addition of snuggling/cuddling and intimacy make for much better sex and are what's usually lacking in casual hook-ups compared to sex within a relationship.
I really love having impromptu conversations. If it becomes a debate, all the better. Most of my spare time is split between reading (classic literature, sci-fi and epistemology are my faves at the moment), lounging on my sofa watching comedy programs (classic British, or The Simpsons/Family Guy), or meeting up with my friends to sup real ale in one of London's many decent pubs.
Radio 4 rocks. Their content, together with the Frontline Club's podcasts, make the daily hour-long commute bearable. I love my iRiver.
I love Debian. If you have to ask what it is, you most likely won't care. Hint: Linux.
I find grammatical punctiliousness incredibly hot - same goes for foreign languages. English was always my favourite subject, but I wish I'd put more effort into my foreign languages. I haven't spoken Spanish since GCSE, my French has badly deteriorated since my IB days, and my grasp of Italian has declined somewhat despite my Italian mother and grandparents' best efforts.
I've recently started taking more of an interest in my Italian heritage (brushing up my grasp of the lingo, voting in the Italian elections, keeping abreast of general Italian media coverage etc) and it bothers me that my kids, should I have any, won't be Italian citizens unless I have them with an Italian woman. Matrilineal descent is a grossly unfair criterion, methinks.
I love old classic PC games like Sam and Max, Monkey Island, The Dig, Simon the Sorceror and Full Throttle. ScummVM rocks for making them all easily playable on modern operating systems.
My favourite foods are spaghetti carbonara and any sort of korma (mmmm, so creamy and coconutty..) These days, though, I mostly cook with speed of preparation in mind (e.g. freezing individual servings of pasta + sauce in the freezer for easy microwaving).
