I'm getting nowhere on this site.

I've replied to messages I've received, I've contacted many ladies and couples in my area, I've been into the chatrooms and also created events on here, including for my recent big birthday and had no response. Not had any fun in the last 2 years.

Chatrooms seem to be only for those who know each other to chat, not for new members to get to know others.

What am I doing wrong or how do I meet up with someone before my VIP membership runs out?

Hulldom. I can only speak for myself but I've found that a relaxed, humourous approach works best. Don't be intense about your needs,wants and desires,let that can come later when you've got to know someone better. An ability to read between the lines give clues as to the type of personality you are engaging with, so try to find common ground.
Finally,may I respectfully suggest that many people do not care for Coca Cola so either wear a neutral T shirt for your picture or at least one advertising Dom Perignon ( most ladies are partial to that )

I'm not really new here as I've had a profile for a year or so but I am new in the sense that I've only really just started using the site regularly. I admit it has taken persistence to get any responses from anyone but by just being me, not being pushy or coming on strong to anyone and trying to show an interest in what people say about them self and not just their sexual wants and looking for, I'm starting to chat with a couple of people that will hopefully become friends. Whether we ever meet and connect doesn't matter, that's the future and I can't see or know that, what does matter is I'm now connecting with people whom I otherwise would never have the opportunity to do so with, and that's cool. Anyone wanting to critique my profile as well is most welcome too. Constructive criticism and or commendations are always welcome. :)

Buddy, I cannot say i have encountered hate anywhere on this site.
Occasional venomous comments are made on blogs, but they usually are due to misinterpretation and everybody kisses and makes up in the end.
Chat can be challenging, when its busy it can be impossible but as long as you stick to the unwritten rules of asking first in open chat before PM'ing anyone you should always get along fine.

So far in chat I've found the room to have 50 plus participants and if lucky 1 or 2 chatters. It's like an echo tunnel in there but I do realise that I'm operating in Aussie time when the room gets busy in UK time. Just unfortunate for me that my timezone happens to be the quite time in the rooms. It's nice to find another form of communication on here and also nice that the conversations in the blogs have a far greater intellectually inspired subject matter as a general rule or at least those I've read so far.

Dam girl, one strong coffee gets me awake each day and I'm the worst. You really don't like waking up do you or is it just that you love being in bed, even though you get little sleep there. Lucky you if that's the case :)

HullDom: I think Fetch, Indepth and SueChris have laid down their opinions honestly and constructively. If you'll forgive me for adding my twopennyworth, I would seriously suggest that you scrap your present profile altogether and come back in a revamped form.

Your profile photo is not flattering (as the above folks have already stated). Take a new one that shows you in a better light. If I lived closer I'd have been happy to help you out with that. I know some people consider that advertising themselves as a "dominant" gives them some sort of cachet, but in fact it puts as many people off as it attracts. Another thing is that, although I'm sure Hull is a lovely place, in the great scheme of things it doesn't exactly conjure up images of Monte Carlo or Dubai to the average person :-) Therefore I'd suggest a totally new username to go with the new profile: something witty, not overtly "in yer face" sexual, and a bit more neutral. And as Fetch has said.....Good Luck !

At this juncture, perhaps I should venture to suggest that this has been a very good week for blogging here. Everyone seems to have been exercising their brain cells, and the exchanges have been (dare I say it?) both witty and significant. I think we all need to do a high-five.

I'm feeling mellow currently, so feel free :-) I shan't send the blog police round to beat you up :-)

I'm not a aspiring single male, I am one but that's ok, if people like what they see and my view points in here, I'll make friends and connections. If I don't then I need to examine myself and what it is that I'm doing that isn't attracting positive energy. :)

i assume you have someone to your pics or you are very good at getting a decent pose whilst that ten second timer counts down.
Either way, your pics are always impeccable.
This is one reason why i do not post any photos,
I need a reason to smile; meeting someone or a funny comment will create a natural smile.
Unfortunately for me, a forced smile leaves me looking like a newborn baby with chronic wind!

OK,bit of a moan now.
When click on the notifications link to the blog that has been commented on, for certain members it will take me to that persons profile.
I am definitely sure i am clicking on the blog link and not the name.
Now i have no issues with it taking me to a females profile, but male profiles maybe will be seen in a different light.
Is this something that others have found happens?
If i have repeatedly looked at your profile, it is probably not due to me wanting to meet...not unless you are free and fancy it.

Jasper, i'm not sure what you're thinking, do you mean my profile is not real or it is real and i'm just not getting any response from members? I can confirm my profile is definitely genuine. I'm divorced and looking to meet ladies for fun and also maybe for a long term relationship, either on here or a "normal" dating site.

Wasn't going to but can't not, so here is my rant.....I'm curious as to who so many people seem to delete existing profile, only to come back with a new one nearly on a monthly basis WTF is that about?
Now i can and do understand that some have valid reasons for doing so which in some circumstance are understandable as a one off occurrence. But i've noticed a number of people make these changes over and over again. It seems that the moment they blow their cover of their 'new profile' as to who they are and that they been here before that they vanish yet again only to return in a week or so with another profile and so their game continues. Just can't work out what game it is they are playing. They are not fooling anyone as their so easy to spot. Reckon they would be the first person fount in a game of hide & seek. So am i the only one that has noticed this 'odd' behaviour? (though i know i'm not alone in noticing this as i've chatted to others that have mentioned this 'strangeness')

Yes I've noticed that, but I've always been of the opinion that people likely have their own reasons for doing so. In any event it doesn't concern me, so I never give it a second thought..................

Horny and Scottie, Please read Indepth reply above...I think nobody could have put it better. In relation to profiles, I would add a well written one showing some character, personality and good spelling always helps. We have also discussed many time in blogs (Fetch's raised this issue if I remember well) and there, many good suggestions were given. A well taken picture, also does wonders here where majority of members are male.

I am a divorced man who doesn't usually like having my photo taken. I asked someone to take my photo and have used it on here. It is a genuine photo, not deliberately unattractive. I would never use a photo of someone else as when I met someone, it would be obvious I hadn't used a photo of myself and the other member(s) would wonder what else I had lied about.

It is very difficult to know what others want to read on a profile, either on a normal dating site or on this sex dating site. I make sure that I use "real language" rather than "text speak" and aim to spell words correctly and use appropriate punctuation.

My VIP status runs out tonight, I will be making changes to my profile.

I too have a number of messages that have never been read. As suechris says, classic members cannot read messages apart from those from VIP members. I don't understand why so many I sent, most of which were replies to their messages, have never been opened.
