Lately I feel myself pining for the fjords……
Longevity is not a family trait, therefore I know one day in the not too distant future I will cease to be! Expire and go to meet me maker! Be bereft of life and rest in peace! 'Me metabolic processes will be 'istory! I’d ‘ave kicked the bucket, ‘Ave shuffled off me mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! I WILL BE AN EX-PSAVOUR!!
I am not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when I happens… but when that moment comes I will look back and think; “Now…did I lock the back door?”

One thing life has taught me is that if I want to feel the breath of some close to me on my neck, to feel them touching me, I need to travel on the underground in rush hour.

Whatever happens between now and then, I will also be thankful for three things –
1 – My best friend risking his life for me.
2 – getting to go to cool movie events with me old man through his job and meeting some great characters.. well Lou Ferigno was cool to a 12 year old.
2 – The time I spent in the music industry and the appreciation of a wide spectrum of music it presented me with.

The latter two loves have dominated my life and a film with an amazing sound track is something wonderful to behold.

Early greats such as Easy Rider and the Graduate gave a glimpse of great songs from the past and the present of the time….

But for me, the eighties was the heyday of the great soundtrack,
spurred on by the Blues Brothers, but this was only the start of great things to come.
The Brat Pack came along with such greats as St Elmo’s fire, Pretty in pink and of course The Breakfast club.
The nineties gave us Tarantino with Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting and of course, The Body Guard.

Those are to name a few of the more popular films.... a personal favourite is Ferris Buellers day off, some great music from Morrissey, yello and also introduced a few unknown artists into one of John Hughes greatest movies.

Your personal fave music track from a fillm? .......gotta be a debate or two there or even just a

Happy sacks bluer than a Norwegian Psittacoidea PS? S'wor you get for playing with the Python in public! We could have the 5 minute argument about that, or you could perhaps swap the music business to become a cross dressing arborealist? Tough gig on the longevity thing. But who knows dude. Miracle of modern medicine allowing us all to survive longer, hornier, fatter, unfitter, etc...

Btw, if it's vacarious contact you're after the Tokyo subway allows formakes mandatory full body contact at rush hour! Hence the phrase

あなたの足の間のブリーフケースはあるか、またはあなたは私を見てだけで満足していますか?

I know it sounds a bit naff but one of my favorite movie music tracks is " A Summer Place " by the Percy Faith Orchestra, from the film of the same name.It never fails to evoke pleasant memories of wonderful holidays.
I am also ,always filled with respect that an Englishman ( Ron Goodwin ) wrote the sound track for the film " Battle of Britain ".It is said that the " Luftwaffe March" therein ,is one of the most Germanic pieces of music ever composed. It has now been re-titled " Aces High " and is in the reportoire of many military bands throughout the world.

I admit here before you all, I love the Sound of Music. Also the Wedding Singer - especially as it had a brief appearance in it by Billy Idol. Currently my driving playlist includes White Wedding, LA Woman and Hot in the City extremely loudly. Yes I know my driving playlist isn't a movie but you could call it part of my current life soundtrack :)
