I was wondering about all those sayings that your granny (or any other family member for that matter!) used to impart when something particularly depressing had happened...ie..you lost your job/boyfriend/or front teeth in that bicycle accident....
the sort of thing I mean is
'when life gives you lemons........you make lemonade' which used to be good enough...
but a twenty first century update could be
'when life gives you lemons....reach for the tequila and salt'
I am sure there are plenty more out there but that one is my personal favourite.....
