Mature! Good or bad?

11:03 pm Sunday, 28th December, 2014

Profiles that contain the word "mature" How do you interpet it? Does it mean experianced, or do you read old. Old is a state of mind, and is nothing to do with birthdays. I like a mature red wine in preferabce to a fizzy colar. So what does "mature" say to you? What is "mature"?

To me its an individual description to illicit a responce or conversation if the person is looking for mature its a conversation opener.
Only use the label that you are willing to write

Well I'm "mature" and no mistake (haha...... :-) In other words I fully concede that I'm middle-aged, but I also consider myself to have a balanced outlook on life that can only come from having "seen it all", and believe me - I have. So I reckon "mature" to me - if I'm looking at a woman's profile - means "middle aged with a balanced mental outlook". It has no connotation with being saggy and undesirable whatever.

I hate that well-worn mantra of "age being just a number". Age counts for a lot, and it's not necessarily a bad thing, which is why I have no hesitation about fessing up to being "mature". Of course 20-somethings can also have a mature outlook, but I think that's something entirely different, and a rather rare commodity in that age group - at least in my experience.

Another thing about maturity is the way you deal with rejection or react when things don't go according to plan. Emotional maturity is important on a site like this. If a guy says he wants to run away with a woman within a couple of days of online acquaintanceship, then I would suggest he has maybe been cut off from the world in a previous relationship, and hasn't evolved emotionally.

Mature? I definitely don't consider myself to be mature. Why? For me maturity is reached after living and overcoming lots of different hassles and struggles in life. Being wise and learnt from your mistakes.
Therefore, I am not mature at all...

After being on this site for a while that I have realized that I have not experienced that much, I am not wiser at all, and there r far more wittier and interesting people than me...

Honestly, I am more like a child really...Always opening my eyes wide, totally curious and sometimes naive like saying things on the chat that are taken in the wrong way...hahaha
