whats the difference?

I was recently in the room when a member said about how much a timewaster had cost him, in time petrol and money as a hotel costs to be met. Another member who happens to be an escort agreed that she also had a lot of timewasters. An arguement of sorts followed. The point being I believe no matter what proffession or type you are, no one should have to suffer the timewaster. If the escorts client decides not to show it is timewasting, the same as in a private meet. I was told I was wrong but I canot see it, if you did'nt show for a dentist you'd be charged! what does evryone else think because she is an escort it's ok? personally I don't think so.

"Timewasting" by my definition means being contacted by someone who initially seems genuine and wants to know more about me (in the form of face photos and a bit of info about my background), but who - on receipt of the said info - promptly disappears without as much as a by your leave. In the worst cases it means me having to alter my schedule for a day or two in order to make provision for a date, only to be told at the last minute (i.e. less than 12 hours notice) that the date is off. Or.......being totally stood up, without contact or explanation, after I have arranged hotels, restaurants etc.

We all know time is money, but also there's a sense that we have squandered a small portion of our limited existence on someone who is undeserving, especially after having opened up various details of our private life. In many ways the latter is more hurtful, frustrating, vexing, and totally unforgivable or unjustifiable. Especially when one considers that we could have otherwise been engaged in something more profitable......

So no - the escorts don't have a monopoly on best use of time.

I was with Dave when that chat happened. I have to admit that at the beginning, I could not understand the concept of a time waster properly on this site. Now, that I do I can't still truly understand why actually someone would spend a great amount of time building rapport with someone and agreeing to meet that person to finally vanish like a ghost.

I believe no one deserves to be stood up. As Skibbie was pointing out, even if you have not spent any money, you spend time and effort re-arranging your schedule for that date.

And about our friend Dave, I think she is a tough cookie, it is sad but in an international site, you are bound to meet people who belong to the category that can't be trusted.

Miss Goodnight and Cleo.I hope if you check with others, that you will find I'm not a skinflint and never count the cost when it comes to meeting with a lovely lady.
You will concede however, that a trip for me to Wales or China is a fairly major undertaking and I wouldn't want to travel all that way to meet with disappointment.
( firm invitations on o post card ,please ) xxxxxx

PS. I hasten to add that when said " disappointed " I was not referring to the meeting, you are both very nice ladies. What I meant was that it would be disappointing to travel thousands of miles only to be stood up. xxxx
